Cellcom 4G

What is 4G LTE and how does it compare to 3G?4G

4G LTE is a high-speed wireless data technology that offers speeds of 5-12 Mbps download and 2-5 Mbps upload (up to 10 times faster than 3G data speeds). However, like any wireless data, speed is impacted by geography, distance from a cell site and traffic on the network.

Do I have 4G LTE coverage where I live?

4G LTE services are available in the metro areas of Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Wausau, Sheboygan and parts of Oconto, Marinette and Fond Du Lac Counties. Many larger cities in our region such as Milwaukee, Madison and Minneapolis are also included in our 4G LTE coverage area.  An interactive
coverage map is available at www.cellcom.com/map.

Where can I get a 4G LTE Smartphone?

You will be able to purchase 4G LTE devices from any of our retail stores and participating Cellcom Agents.

How much data do I need?

Use our data calculator to help you determine which data plan is right for you.

Will 4G LTE service cost me more?

We do not have specific 4G LTE-only data plans. Customers pay based on the amount of data they use. All data plans currently offered can be used on the 2G, 3G or 4G LTE networks.

What will happen if I have a 4G LTE phone and am not on the 4G network?

4G LTE mobile broadband devices and smartphones will be backwards compatible. These devices will connect on our 2G (1XRTT), 3G (EVDO) networks when it does not register with a 4G LTE network. Some devices may have a toggle option to preserve battery life instead of actively searching for 4G LTE.
