    • Not Satisfied

The Motorola Milestone X2 was my first "Smart" phone. The first few months I had it, it was great, I loved it. But about 4 months into it I started having problems with it locking up during messaging. I had to take it to service several times for this issue and was even given a refurbished phone to replace my original one. I have had the same problems with the refurbished phone and now most recently was given another phone and started having problems with that one as well. I have taken it in to have it looked at, I take my battery out daily and still continue to have issues the it locking up on any and all applications, the camera being slow and most recently it has a tendency to ring but I am unable to answer the call. Very Frustrating!
    • Great Phone, Some Issues

There are some issues with the phone. Periodically it'll lock up and I'll need to remove the battery to get it going again. Happens about once every other month or so. Easily live-able. Also the camera loads VERY slowly. That's about it, though. Battery life isn't great. If I have it fully charged and don't use it much it'll last the day. However, I use HBO Go when I'm on break at work and plug it into the speakers when I'm doing my paperwork at the end of the night (or during the day if things are slow enough) and it wears out SUPER FAST when streaming video and music like that. Even game playing wears it out quickly. Screen quality is mediocre, but still pretty great if you're moving up from a regular phone. Video is high quality but not really comparable to a Lotus Glass display. The phone is sleek and small, but I work in a manufacturing plant so I keep it in a bodyglove protective case always. I'm afraid it'd just break in two. Keep a screen protector on it too to prevent scratches. On the whole, though, I love this phone. I wish it was a little faster and had a batter that lasted longer, but all in all, I would get another one.

This phone started out great. It was fast, quick, love the screen adjustment etc. I got this phone shortly before the iphone came out and being the big Apple lover that I am I considered returning this phone and getting the iphone however decided that based on the quality of this phone, that I would keep it... Big mistake.. A few weeks later, this phone constantly freezes, won't open/load applications, the camera takes 2-3 minutes to load, it disconnected from the website constantly causing me to have to pull out the battery to get it to connect again and now most recently, it has started roaming in the city of Green Bay.

This phone freezes every 5 minuets. Crashes constantly, worked for a week. I payed full amount for this phone and its not even worth the cost of the box. If you buy this, try to return it or enjoy your expensive paperweight.

Upgraded from the HTC Hero. Very glad I did. I have not experienced any of the other lock up issues others have stated. Very fast. Great battery life. The only drawback is that I have not been able to synch with Microsoft Outlook. Made the decision to just synch with my Google account instead. All in all great phone and glad I switched.

Freezes up all the time. 1st few weeks o.k. Now every app try to open takes forever! Called several times to report and of course you get differnent reasons. Then finally one says yes this phone is known for this, than why sell it or at least make it be known. Suggested taking out battery each time this happens...REALLY?? Next step send it into customer care to reload software, only after 1 1/2 months. We'll see what happens -- can't put up with it for 2 years!!

Got my phone 3 months ago and its been working great. The other issues that other people been having I have not had except for the screen freeze in the beginning. Found out the problem was the app killer that I installed. This phone as a task manager that does the same job. After uninstalling the app killer had no problems since. The battery life is very good. Only charge it every 2 days. I tweaked the phone by shutting off stuff I don't use and using the task manager is very handy. Paly with the settings the your phone will work better

Upgraded from an HTC Hero, and shoulda dun it sooner. I haven't had a lick of trouble with this phone, it even SYNCs with my truck, something the Hero wouldn't do. Sure, the screen quality could be better, but compared to the Hero, it's a HUGE upgrade. I've had this phone since December, and highly recommend it.

The external speaker failed within the first week. I was given a new phone. The headphone jack failed after three weeks on the replacement phone. This phone was sent in for repair and I am still waiting for it to be returned. The loaner phone is an X1 which has performed very well for the four weeks I've had it.

Got this phone about 3 weeks ago after trading in the Samsung Showcase. Much better phone. Love the battery saving options on the phone without having to download an app to do it. Nice big quick responsive screen. Great features. Pictures look great on it. Only locked up once and then got the update and hasn't done it since. Always liked Motorola and hopping not to be disappointed. Everyone seems to complain about the batteries on the smart phones. It happens to every smart phone people, get over it. Haven't had any other problems with the phone. Cellcoms best phone.

This is my first smart phone. Works great but the battery dies before the end of the day, Could be that I live in the middle of nowhere (crandon). Kind of big for the pocket, suggest a phone clip, I'm afraid I'd break it sitting down. Pretty fast when 3G is avaiable. Don't have a problem with display. Looks fine to me. Over all, I'm a long time Motorola fan for years, stil loving it.

although I have had a Blackberry, and got sick of the RIM mentality. I decided to try a Droid. Best move ever... I have had the phone for over a month. even though it's sometimes hard to use compared to the blackberry, I wouldn't give my milestone x2 up for the world.... the only thing missing on this thing is the cape. I am very pleased with it...I am not a fan of touch screens, i hate them. however with that in mind. I love this phone over any crackberry I have had.

This phone has great features, the best Cellcom offers at this point. The only downfall is the pentile display which creates a very fuzzy looking picture. The phone has great contrast ratio though.

I upgraded to this phone from the HTC Hero. I did so due to the dual core processing(Faster browsing) and tremendous increase in memory. The phone itself is very good as far as processing goes. Now... it simply baffles me why the HELL Motorola would put a Pentile screen in this phone when MUCH MUCH better displays are widely available and in use by their competition. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is essentially LCD technology that was cutting edge circa 2003. The color reproduction is mediocre at best and the grid patterns not only make for rough edges and poor picture quailty, it drives your eyes crazy with checker board patterns. Yes it's bright but what good is all that contrast if it's just beaming crappy quality?! The average user may not notice this since they have not seen high quality LCD products before, however this is supposed to be the "Rolls Royce" of Cellcom's line-up so I would expect it to at least have a screen comparable to lesser quality devices. Overall... This is a serious "Butter Face" phone!

love everything about this phone but right now there is a known defect that Motorola is apparently working on according to staff at Cellcom. The screen freezes and the only way to get it back on is to take out the battery and put it back in. VERY inconvienent. If it does not get updated by Motorola soon I am switchng to the original Milestone.
    • Needs Fix!!!

I've owned the X2 for about 2 weeks now. I noticed within the first couple of days that the screen would freeze while on a call and I'd have to pull the battery to hang up. The phone seems to lag when booting programs sometimes. I'll take a picture and wait a couple seconds before it snaps the photo. I'm sure the programing issues are all linked. Cellcom is aware of the issues with this phone and the are working on fixing the problem. I'm going to wait to bring back the phone closer to the 30 day return policy, because I like the phone that much compared to my old HTC Desire that did not have any storage space. If they do not find a fix I'll either wait or maybe try the X1, but would be hesitant seeing as though the X2 replaced that model for some reason??

Everything works perfectly on this phone! The new operating system is extremely fast and keeps up with my fast pace. The only issue I see with this phone is that the texting doesn't guess my words when I'm typing, unlike my BlackBerry. So if I intend to type "you" and I accidentally type "yuo," it won't guess what I'm actually trying to type. This isn't a big set back, but I have to pay more attention when I type.

This phone was great when i first go it. But after 10 days of having it, it completely froze on me. My grandma got the same exact phone and it froze on here in the first couple of days. She called in and apparently all the Milestone X2's are freezing. They apparently have to add in something new that are not in them at all. (all the phones) And the battery life on this thing SUCKS you have to charge it every day. Because even though you aren't using all the apps on the phone they are still running. I got an app that kills them and i still have to charge mine EVERY NIGHT! its a pain. Never had suck a bad phone ever. Especially since its brand new you'd thing there wouldn't be that many flaws in it. WRONG over all this phone isn't that great

Upgraded from the HTC Hero. The Milestone is extremely faster and has much better signal strength then the HTC. Tons of internal storage - awesome camera and HD video recorder - plays games flawlessly - all of the options you could possibly need. The X2 is a little larger than I would like, but more than makes up for it with easier texting and navigation!

Both my husband and I purchased the milestone x2 less than a week ago. We have had trouble with the screen freezing and not being able to download apps from the droid market. Our son has the Motorola Milestone X1 and he has not had any of the same problems. We do both enjoy the phone but may end up getting the milestone x1 if these problems cannot be fixed. Has any one else been expierencing these problems?

I recently upgraded from my HTC Desire (which I loved, but often ran out of space as soon as I added any apps, regardless of my 32G SD card) to the Milestone X2. My husband has had the Milestone X for sometime, and it honestly seems very similar. A huge upgrade from the Desire based on camera and onboard memory, but I do not see a big difference in the duel core processor that my phone offers compared to my husbands standard Milestone. I wish I could figure out how to better sync my facebook contacts with my Google contacts, as the HTC sense/sync was quite nice. Having said all that, this phone is amazing. Nothing in the Cellcom lineup compares to the Milestone family. I am very pleased with my upgrade.
