More Data on Us, No Action Needed
To accommodate increased data use, Cellcom is again providing an additional 5GB of high-speed data for unlimited data plans (smartphone, tablet and mobile broadband), an extra 20GB of high-speed data for 3G RBI plans and doubled data buckets for Advance Pay customers providing between 1-7 additional GB of data for use during the month of May. There is no charge for the additional data and no action is needed to obtain it.
Supporting Local Businesses
Business are working in different conditions and data needs are likely not the same as they were prior to the pandemic. High-speed data is being increased on each smartphone, tablet and mobile broadband line with an unlimited data package. Businesses on a shared data package, should reach out to their business sales representative to discuss options. We are happy to work with our business customers to customize a solution to prevent overages, including adding additional data to accounts.
Connecting Students in Need
Cellcom and Nsight Telservices, our sister company, made internet available at no cost to school–age children and college students as they transitioned to distance learning for the end of the 2020 school year.
Please note that our technicians will not be entering homes until at least May 26. If you have immediate internet needs we will do our best to work with you on a temporary solution until a full installation can be completed.
What happens if I hit my data cap?
When customers reach monthly data caps, Cellcom will slow data speeds. During a national emergency, slowing data speeds after data caps are reached allows for the best network management, including critical access to mobile services.
