Have had phone since may 2013 I've started getting a Sims card allert and reception is poor in most areas..when I reported this they told me I could get a boost signal antenna for 100.00 that should solve my issues.. but I've paid enough for the phone already. I get loads of dropped calls...I would not ever want this phone..not good

    love the phone

I am really enjoying this phone. I had a windows phone before this and wanted a bigger screen and the ability use more widely available apps. I have very little issues with dropped calls, dead zones, or low reception. For those who feel they get less reception due to the bars, they need to remember that is from the years of analog. We are all digital and the bars mean very little. Download an app which tells you the actual reception and you will be fine. Another thing, no matter what the phone, during a Packer game you will get poor reception. There are 70,000 people trying to use the bandwidth. I have more than enough space on the phone as I automatically load them to drop box or Google pics and don't cone close to going over my data plan. I have some music that I occasionally use, and I don't care about the non-removable battery because I can use the phone for at least one day and 8 hours before the battery is dead. This is even true when I roam, where I can go almost 24 hours. I charge at night or at lunch, and use my GPS without issue, I have found a couple of dead zones in my local area and have friends who live there who matter whateverything not use a cell phone at their house. It isn't the phone, but the limited towers. I am still figuring out everything on my phone, but like the user friendly screens, keyboard, and app store. I see very little difference in the happiness between myself and a friend with the S4. I tested this phone before I bought it so I knew I liked and it and would have no connectivity issues in the areas I travel.

    Great Phone

Good reception, fast, Getting signal everywhere I go (Suamico, GB, etc) Nice large screen. Battery last for 2 days for me on power save mode. Space is OK as I usually post the pics right away. Big step up from previous service

better just wait for a good one!

I got this phone mostly for the size. It's a neat phone but i could not receive phone calls in my house/garage/cabin near crivitz. It has the worst reception ever. I'll wait for a month and upgrade to the samsung. This phone is a BIG bummer!

    Phone becoming a let-down
    written by Aaron Smith on

For being one of the high-end devices offered here, I attempted to give the phone a fair chance. To start, the non-removable battery is a HUGE negative. 2020mAh is not a big battery to begin with. I'm in no way a power-user, but even on the HTC 'Power Save' settings, lucky if I can get 8 hours off the charger. Plus, in my opinion, a phone should not have to run continuously on a power save mode in order to make it through a normal day (8-10 hours). What if I wanted to use my phone to, you know, listen to music for 45 minutes a day? Can't do it with this one without cutting your day short. At least with removable batteries you can get an extended capacity battery, or even a smaller backup one so that you can switch while on the go. This is incredibly important while on vacation or extended activities. No SD-card is also a bit of a let down. Sure, 25GB storage on Dropbox is included, but with limited data buckets, if you are not on wifi and need to download a file or pictures for school or work, you can eat up your data plan pretty fast instead of just putting things on a card. 16gb internal storage on a phone is simply too small to not have that ability. Next, (and perhaps these are specific to my exact phone and not the entire model line), the GPS is SLOW to find location, even outdoors in a wide open space. Sometimes 5,10,15 minutes to get a location. Also, Cellcom's 4G speeds are great, although I tried it at Lambeau Field (outside)this past weekend, and there was almost NO data-connectivity. I barely could send a text message without a lengthy delay and failed attempt first. Overall, I'm utterly disappointed with this phone. Salespeople think its the greatest thing, but I disagree. I'm going to attempt a little bit longer to see if it grows on me, but otherwise it will be replaced. I've been an Android guy since the beginning many years ago....I've had several different smart phones from different manufacturers, including HTC. Past HTC phones were great for me, but the lack of removable battery and storage on this model are killers.

    Terrible reception...but good phone

Terrible reception I get roaming 60% of the time and it seems there is a major need for a software update to fix this issue. I'm not the only person either. Right in downtown Pulaski I get 4 bars instead of 6 like I use to. Other than that the phone is excellent...amazing screen, camera, battery, and the Sense UI is a nice overlay for Android. However, I would not recommend this phone because of the reception.

It's a good phone very fast when in 4gLTE zone. The main problem I'm having with the phone is poor reception. Very rarely do I have more then 2 bars. Pretty cool that it has the screenshot option like the iphone. Not a big fan of the no SD card slot.

    Fast but has downsides

The phone is a clone if the droid DNA, it's really fast and can live up to expectations that android phones have. I have a couple of minor problems though and the first one being no sd card slot. This is a big deal to me because I like to carry around music and 16 gigs of storage is not enough. The second problem is connection to 4g or 3g is not the best. Also digital roaming happens a ton and is rather annoying. Besides there not being a slot for an sd card and some connection issues the quad core processor handles pretty much everything. Good phone overall but wish it had more storage and the phone is pretty fragile so a case is a must. Would recommend to anyone and would buy it again.

The phone is top notch, it runs everything smooth and has a ton of customization options. I would recommend this to any android lover because it just shows how amazing android is because they are a open source company. I have the same problem as well, it says that i am roaming when really i am not... only flaw

    Very Solid Phone

Have had the phone for 2 days and can find nothing wrong with it. I have tried to find its limits but can't seem to slow it down, even while on a call and using the internet or taking pics. Battery is bigger then some phones but the bigger screen draws more juice so it is no better or worse then other smart phones. The only downside and this is just an opinion but it is to big for me in overall size(does't fit in pockets).

    Great Phone

Pros: -Beautiful display -Ridiculously fast and powerful -Decent battery life for a phone of this size -Comes with HTC Sense which is very user friendly -Great audio if you're the type of person that puts music on you're phone Cons: -It's huge; I feel like I'm carrying a small tablet more than a phone, but this might be a pro for some people. -The little door over the USB port is annoying, but since it supports wireless charging you can easily get around this. -It likes to tell me I'm roaming when I am firmly is Cellcom's service area; I don't know if this is a quirk of the phone, or a quirk of Cellcom's, but there it is. Summary: Solid competitor for the iPhone, would definitely buy again.
