Find the small, recessed “Reset” button on the underside of your Nokia canister. You may need a paperclip or similar tool to press it.
Your Nokia canister requires a critical software update to maintain reliable internet service. To complete this update, a full device reset is necessary. Follow the steps below or watch the instructional video. If you need assistance, call us at 800-236-0055 and ask for Technical Support.
Disclaimer: Resetting your Nokia device will restore it to factory settings. Your Wi-Fi name and password are printed on the bottom of the unit. To reconnect or manage settings, use the Nokia WiFi app.

Ensure the canister is plugged in and powered on. The indicator lights on top should be illuminated.

Using a paperclip or similar tool, press and hold the reset button for approximately 30-60 seconds. Watch for the lights to begin rapidly flashing on the top of the canister—this indicates the reset is in progress.
Step 4: Wait for the Device to Reboot

Release the button and wait for the device to reboot twice. This may take a few minutes. The lights will stabilize once the reset is complete.

Your device is now reset and ready for the software update to be applied. No additional actions required.
